If your email address is hosted by Hotmail, you are going to have an extra step to go through to get access to our web site. Our host has decided to try to force all of its users to boycott Hotmail.

Their logic is really awesome. Essentially our host is claiming that because they can not 100% guarantee that their emails will make it to a Hotmail account without landing in a spam folder, they are refusing to allow Hotmail.com email addresses on account signup. Extending that logic a bit, there really is no such thing as guaranteed email delivery ... so they should probably just turn off their outgoing mail servers and stop delivering email to the outside world altogether.
So ... here is how we work around the problem.
1) 'Apply For Membership' like you normally would, but instead of entering your hotmail address, put in some sort of bogus email address ... blah@hotmail-workaround.com or some such. Just make sure you make note of what you enter.
2) Contact Vareck in game (in game mail usually works best, I log on somewhat intermittently) letting me know that you have submitted an application and had to use a fake email address. State in your message what you used as a fake email address.
3) When your application is accepted, I will manually reset your password to something specific. I will then communicate that password to you.
4) With the fake email address and reset password in hand you will be able to log in to the guild web site.
5) You can then go in to your account settings and change the email address that the web site uses to communicate with you. Change it to your proper hotmail.com address.
6) After this is done, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD to something other then the reset password I gave you.
7) Enjoy. You should now be able to fully use the guild web site normally.
